As I begin the new year, I always try to grow as an artist and develop my skillset. Last year, I set a goal of working on drawing (and eventually painting) the human face. I can't say that I was extremely successful in my venture, but I did accomplish a few pieces, some digital and I have a couple of watercolors that I will slowly complete (I don't want to mess it up, so I am taking my time). It is something that I will continue to work on.
In 2022, my goal is to get a little free with my art style and combine my watercolor techniques with my zentangle drawings. I'm fascinated with loose watercolors and line art. Being a Virgo, I am so structured, it is sometimes hard to paint outside the lines. I have begun so many new projects with my new "free" mindset, I will be busy for quite a while getting them complete.
Below, you'll find all the projects I have started. Some are loose watercolors, some freestyle and loose line art and others are a hopeful beautiful combination of watercolors and line (Zentangle) art.
